Kotor was officially listed among 15 European Best Destinations in 2019, ranked 13th in competition with 20 cities and leaving Florence, Riga, Paris, London, Vienna, Brussels and Berlin behind.

Emphasizing that Kotor is suitable for everyone, the EBD suggests travelers to “forget about big capitals and go relax in Kotor, one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe”. Criteria for admission to this list imply that this is the destination of cultural tourism with the best mixture of diversity of offer, accessibility and price.
